KDX Tutorial:

To Setup:
1. Open the KDX app (if you can't do this don't go any further)
2. On the left there should be a menu with buttons on it. Click the one that says 'Settings'.
3. To set a username enter something into the box that says 'Name:'.
4. To set some info about yourself type something into the 'Description:' box.
5. To set the color of the text in your username click the foreground color (by default it's black) box. Move the sliders until you find a color you like then press 'OK'.
6. To set the color of the background that will be behind your username simply click the background color (by default it is yellow) box. Move the sliders until you find a color you like then press 'OK'.
7. To set your icon open up a picture app, and make (or open) a picture, then copy (using Edit>Copy) the picture and the go into KDX and then click on the icon box and paste (using Edit>Paste).
8. Continue to the next part and have a great time!!!!


To Connect:
1. Open the KDX app
2. On the left there should be a menu with buttons on it. Click the one that says 'Connect...'
3. In the 'Address:' box, type the server name (for example 143.88.183.2)
4. In the 'Login:' box, type the username (for example, guest)
5. In the 'Password:' box, type the password (for example again, guest)
6. Click 'Connect'
7. A window should pop-up. Wait until it automatically closes.
8. Now the fun begins!

To download:
1. Follow above connect directions, then click on the button in the side menu that says 'Files'. A browser should pop-up.
2. Click on folders to open them until you see the file you want.
3. Click on the file. The 'File Transfers' window should open.
4. In the file transfers window you can see the status of a download.
5. Wait until it's finished (the bar is full)
6. Open your KDX folder
7. Open the folder that says 'Downloads'
8. Depending on what type of file it is it could be in either the 'Text Files', 'Archives', 'Folders', or 'Others' folder. Open the folder you think it is in, if it's not there, try another one
9. Double click on the file and enjoy!

To Upload:
1. Follow the connect directions, then click the button in the side menu that says 'Files'
2. Click on the folders until you find the one you want to upload to (in most servers this will be in a folder called 'Uploads' or something like that)
3. Drag the file you want to upload from the Finder into the folder in the KDX application
4. The file transfer window will open and you will see the file.
5. Wait until the file has been uploaded completely (the bar is full)
6. Congratulations you did it and made someone-else very happy!

To View Users on the Server:
1. Follow the connect directions, then click the button in the side menu that says 'User List'
2. Wow, that was so easy!

To Chat with a User:
1. Follow the connect directions
2. Follow the view users directions.
3. Click on a user.
4. In the window that pops-up, type the message you want to send them.
5. Click the button in the side menu that says 'Messages'
6. In the window that opens, select the username of the person you were talking to.
7. Wait for them to reply.
8. Type something in the box at the bottom of the window.
9. Press return
10. Continue the steps 7-9 (or 8-9 if you like talking) and have an intelligent or not so intelligent conversation.
11. Ka-ching! You're finished.

To answer when you get a dialog that says someone is chatting with you:
1. Click on the button in the side menu that says 'Messages'.
2. Click on the user that sent something to you in the window that appears.
3. Type something in the bottom box and press return.
4. Wait for them to reply.
5. Continue steps 3 and 4.
6. You have succeeded!  :D 

To View and Post News:
1. Follow the connect directions.
2. Click on the button in the side menu that says 'Public News'.
3. Wait for all the posts to load in the window that opens.
4. Read the posts (if you want to)
5. Click the button that says 'New Message...' if you want to post.
6. Type the subject of your message into the 'Subject:' box.
7. Type your message in to the big box.
8. Click 'send'
9. Everybody can now see your message!!!

To Participate in Public Chat:
1. Follow the connect directions.
2. Click on the button in the side menu that says 'Public Chat'
3. Type something into the bottom box.
4. Press return.
5. Wait for someone to say something (not necessary)
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to your hearts content.
7. Your life as a social person has improved greatly! BE HAPPY!
